 Andrew Glover Sunderland University Journalism Talk 13th December 2021 On Monday 13th December 2021 Andrew Glover from The University of Sunderland visited Sunderland College Bede Campus to give a talk to the year 2 level 3 creative media students. This talk took place in the media building and was about Journalism courses at The University of Sunderland including Sports Journalism and Fashion Journalism. This event was with Andrew Glover who is a lecturer and programme leader for broadcast journalism at The University of Sunderland, he joined the University in 2016. Andrew Glover has 34 years of experience within the media industry on both sides of the microphone and camera, he has worked for major companies such as the BBC, Sky News, ITV, Johnston Press and Trinity Mirror. He has an MA in Multimedia Journalism and is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Glover is very passionate about journalism and firmly believes everyone has a story to tell.   Website Feedback I created a google form to receive feedback on my Website design, I sent this out around to people in my class to ensure I received a range of responses from people in the target audience. The questions I chose to ask were 'What do you like about the website?', 'What changes could I make to improve my website?' and 'As a digital portfolio is my website effective?' I received three Reponses in total to my form, in response to the question 'What do you like about the website?' I received positive feedback on the layout of my website and how easy it was to navigate, as well as my industry inspirations page. The responses I received to my second question 'What changes could I make to improve my website?' were positive in the way that everyone said they couldn't think of anything. B1: Personal Progression Evaluation Research into My Future Options After College I planned to progress into higher education at University and study Fashion Journalism as an undergraduate degree. During extensive research into this course and which Universities offered it, I stumbled upon a similar course at Northumbria University that I felt better suited my interests and would better support me in finding a job in the future. The academic search task was very helpful to me and even encouraged me to explore options I hadn't previously thought to.  When researching potential jobs in the media industry, I was most intrigued by the Fashion Journalism sector so I continued my research into jobs that were available in this side of the industry. This was very helpful to me as I found many jobs I would be very interested in pursuing like Fashion Publicist, Fashion Writer, Fashion Editor and Fashion Marketer.
